How do we better connect our individual convictions to the institutional and ideological efforts? And then how can we communicate those beliefs and actions in a way that motivates the moderates, makes extremists curious, and inspires collaborators to keep at it?
4 out of the 5 largest protests in the United States have happened in the last 7 years. MeToo, Time’s Up push back patriarchy and sexual violence, Black Lives Matter and the Movement for Black Lives push back against racism, white supremacy and police brutality. The March for Our Lives says "no" to the normalization of mass shootings. Progress feels possible but years later we have seen affirmative action overturned and DEI initiatives abandoned, gun rights have expanded and the AR-15 is the most popular rifle in America, and sexual violence against persists at levels that are not going down. Something is missing and we can fill in the blanks.
