Many of us try to calm our fears by dismissing worst case scenarios as highly unlikely. We say things like, “I don’t have to be afraid of flying because plane crashes are extremely rare.” That might help, but then we’re reminded that sometimes planes do crash, and the anxiety comes rushing forward again. We try to push back fear through logic, but anxious thoughts are not easily stopped. This is especially true with the influence of social media, the news cycle, and our anxious, fractured culture. Scripture gives us a different approach. We can pray “Even If” prayers to ground ourselves in Christ and trust that He holds all things together and we will not be overcome.
During this 30 minute guided prayer time, we will seek God together. Check out the resources we’ll be using here.
